The Task:

Create a native language for the Blue Monster that can be understood through context, while achieving a sense of strength, friendliness and power.

The Approach:

We developed a specialized library of sonic gestures and phrases for the Blue Monster, creating a unique language that, though not verbally understandable, was fully integrated with the visual effects to enhance the creature's on-screen dialogue and presence. Drawing inspiration from native Australian fauna, our sound design team collaborated closely with the VFX team, meticulously crafting and refining these sounds. This effort produced a distinctive auditory profile that conveyed the creature’s strength, friendliness, power, and size, positioning the Blue Monster as a companionable and impressive ally.
